Privacy Policy

This policy describes information handling in the public Timact 1.0 and 1.0.1 releases and its website. It does not apply to earlier development test builds. Timact is available on the App Store for iPhone with iOS 26 or later.

On-device processing

Timact's alarms, tasks, and records run on your device. These versions do not automatically upload camera frames, alarm settings, task records, or diagnostic logs to developer-run servers.

In-app purchases and restores use Apple StoreKit; when mainland China holiday-adjusted rules are used, the app may check for holiday data updates in the foreground; opening the website or other web pages generates web requests. These features involve the network and are described below.

Camera and alarm permissions

Photo tasks use the camera to recognize a specified object. Recognition happens on your iPhone: frames are not saved as photos, not written to your photo library, and not uploaded. When recognition succeeds, or during a one-time diagnostic check, the frame stays in memory temporarily for result display.

Timact uses AlarmKit to schedule system reminders for the alarms you create, ringing at the set time. Camera and alarm permissions are managed by the system, and you can adjust them in Settings; revoking them affects the corresponding features. The app does not currently request photo library, microphone, location, or contacts access.

On-device records and access

Alarm settings, task states, wake-up records, and appearance preferences are stored on your device. Wake-up records may include the alarm name, time, task target, and outcome. Completed local task details are kept for 30 days; records needed for active tasks, alarm-stop recovery, or preventing duplicate execution may remain longer.

You can delete task details that are safe to remove from the app's local records page. This does not delete alarm settings, diagnostic logs, or records still needed for safe recovery. Using Timact, purchasing, and restoring purchases do not require a Timact account or Apple or WeChat sign-in to Timact.

Diagnostics and voluntary feedback

The app records diagnostic events on device, including event time, event code, and values, and uses the system log. It keeps the most recent 200 diagnostic events and does not automatically upload these diagnostic records to the developer.

If you voluntarily email feedback, screenshots, or other materials, the recipient receives what you send. Include only information needed to investigate the issue, not raw camera images, account credentials, or payment details. To request deletion of feedback you previously sent, use the contact email below.

In-app purchase

Purchases and restores are handled by Apple through StoreKit. Timact reads StoreKit-verified transaction and subscription information to maintain entitlements and keeps an entitlement summary on device; no transaction data is sent to any developer-run backend.

Apple's handling of related information is governed by its own privacy policy. See Apple's privacy policy.

Holiday data updates

When mainland China holiday-adjusted rules are used, the app may request public holiday data and signatures for the current and following year from holidays.timact.cn while in the foreground. Requests retrieve data and do not include alarm settings or task records; the server and network services may receive network request information such as your IP address. The app verifies signatures before saving data on device and continues using existing trusted data if an update fails.

Website access

Visiting timact.cn (including opening it from the app) sends web requests to the site server. The website is static, with no web analytics scripts, ad scripts, or signup forms.

The site server generates access and error logs that may include visitor IP, request time, request path, response status, browser information, and referring page. These come from web access and do not mean the app uploaded camera frames, alarms, or task records.
